Peter Scheerer (*1957 in München) wurde ca. 1970 von Hendrix, The Who und Grand Funk Railroad erweckt. Nach einem kurzen und heute wenig nachvollziehbaren Gastspiel auf dem Banjo brachte er sich das Gitarrespielen bei und trat mit diversen regionalen Bands auf. Anfang der 80er traf er auf die US-Sängerin Jodie Rocco, für die er dann als Gitarrist und Songschreiber tätig war. Nachdem die Band trotz ihres viel versprechenden Starts auseinander gebrochen war, lehnte PS ein Angebot der Plattenfima, als Komponist und Arrangeur einzusteigen, ab:
"Es war die Zeit von NDW und all der 80er-Euphorie. Alles schien möglich, doch heraus kam dieser schreckliche, marketingkonforme Einheitsbrei. Da wollte ich nicht dabei sein."
In der Folgezeit spielte er mit verschiedenen Bands, bie er sich Mitte der 90er in ein kleines Kellerstudio zurückzog, um seine musikalischen Vorstellungen zu verwirklichen. Doch die Livemusik ließ ihn nicht los. So nahm er bald wieder an zahlreichen öffentlichen Sessions teil und gründete schließlich mit seinem alten Musikerfreund Harry Reuter "Dogs Welcome".
Peter Scheerer lebt mit seiner Famile in München, wo er mit seiner Freundin ein Grafikbüro betreibt.

Peter Scheerer (*1957 in Munich) caught the rock'n'roll bug when he discovered the music of Jimi Hendrix, The Who and Grand Funk Railroad in 1970. After doing the banjo for a short while, he switched to the electric guitar und performed with different local bands. In the early 80s he met Jodie Rocco, a gifted singer from Cleveland/OH, and joined her band as guitarist and co-songwriter. The Jodie Rocco Band was quite successful right from the start, but that dind't keep them from breaking up due to internal differences. When he was offered to work for the record company as a composer and arranger, he refused:
"Those were the days of NDW (= Neue Deutsche Welle; new wave influenced pop-music, often with ridiculous lyrics), total 80's euphoria everywhere. Anything seemed to be possible, but the result was terrible, marketable crap. I didn't want to be part of that."
He continued performing with several bands until he backed out of the live scene in the mid 90s to achieve his musical ideas in a little studio. But soon he returned to the stage, first joining numerous public blues- and rock-sessions, then forming "Dogs Welcome" with drummer Harry Reuter, a companion from the old days.
Peter Scheerer lives with his family in Munich where he runs a design-office together with his girlfriend.
